↳L'armour is an object exploring the structure of armor and protection, posing the question of what and how we choose to protect. Its form combines mechanical elements with an organic, animalistic appearance, redefining the boundaries between the technological and the biological. The object becomes a manifestation of protection against physical threats, but also against other forms of influence on the entity it is meant to protect.
THE MAIN OBJECT, CONNECTED BY A TRANSPARENT TUBE TO A DISTANT TANK, CONTAINS A FLUID OF UNDEFINED NATURE – FUEL, A PRODUCT OF THE OBJECT ITSELF, BUT ALSO A POTENTIAL DANGER. THE DISTANCE OF THE TANK, ITS LACK OF PROTECTION, AND THE MINIMAL CONNECTION TO THE OBJECT PROVOKE THE QUESTION: WHAT IN THIS RELATIONSHIP REQUIRES PROTECTION, AND WHAT, LEFT UNPROTECTED, MAY BECOME A THREAT – BOTH TO THE OBJECT ITSELF AND TO ITS SURROUNDINGS?
